Do not upload sensitive records to Suffolk Septic Help. Gather them only for the official program or professionals you select.
- Valid Certificate of Occupancy
- Current town-issued property tax bill
- Evidence property taxes are current
- Recorded deed details
- Existing septic or cesspool records, if available
- Documentation of system failure, when applicable
Questions to resolve before applying
Confirm that the home is not connected to sewer or in a proposed sewer area, that the project is an eligible replacement, and whether a renovation or addition changes the review path.
After initial screening
Follow the official portal instructions. County health approval is required, and grant-funded installation must use a county-approved installer. Keep copies of every submission, approval, proposal and change order.
